Lifecycle Series Part IV:
The Management Phase

By Atul Vashistha
CEO, neoIT
In my last column I wrote about the third phase in the services globalization lifecycle: sourcing, specifically I spoke about the second global sourcing ownership model - the captive center as an important aspect in the sourcing phase. The next phase in the lifecycle is the management phase, which is the measurement of success of an outsourcing deal. Too many firms and consultants measure success of an outsourcing deal through the eyes of contract negotiations. Over time, senior-level involvement in and commitment to a globalization initiative often fades when the initiative progresses into its steady state.
